In the last post I wrote about the human brain’s RAS or Reticular Activation System. Basically what that states is that we all have a brain that functions in a certain way, whatever we focus on expands and grows as we put more energy into. Where focus goes, attention & energy follows so when we are seeing the all the negatives in life we begin to see a world of nothing but negatives. When we focus on the positive of life, we begin to see all the positives.

So this is why Journalling our goals every morning is so important, let me write to you some of my goals.

I will make $10,000 per month by August

I will make $30,000 per month by December

I will make a million by age 30

I will achieve perfect health

I will become a master at influence & persuasion

I am an individual that is always striving towards success & my potential

I am a master at motivating myself and push myself to the next level

I seek the uncomfortable situation and I act

I am an action taker

I am a role model for others

I help millions of people across the world

I make this world a better place

I help thousands of local business owners

I am always striving for greatness

I am destined for success

I get up early in the morning so that I can become the type of person I need to be to impact the world & others

I make my visions known to the world and others clearly and powerfully

I am a master of tonality and allow others to feel & know that I care about them, I am a an expert and a force to be reckon with

I have powerful friends who are millionaires

I am always surrounding myself with people that are more successful than me

I am taking steps to become a better person than yesterday

I radically accept myself & teach others on how to do the same

I can’t change it so I just simply accept it

In this way everyday I am writing down my goals and my vision daily to ensure that I stay focused on my target and I stay motivated. It is amazing what can happen when you begin to put your focus on successful you seem to draw others to you that also operate on the same wavelength and reach towards success. Just the other day I had an overgrown oak tree in my yard & I had to get it cut down, so I called a local tree cutting company and began speaking to the owner when they arrived to do the job.

One conversation thread lead to another and pretty soon we were talking about our goals and our vision in life. I think it was some comment I made about waking up every morning early to write down my goals. After owner had commented that he had been up from 5 AM and that was when I woke up.

Because I read a book on Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod that has really fired me up and put me in this kick to start waking up early in the morning and getting things done.

Well he has been waking up early for over 30 years and he swears by it. It has made him successful and he points to that one thing that made all the difference and that was waking up early in the AM.

Well this is what I was exactly experiencing and what I really wanted to talk about.

Advertising in Detroit, Importance of Reticular Activating System

Me and my friends drove down to Detroit last weekend to visit a really good authentic Mexican Taco place, on the way down we saw many billboards near the highway and we noted that most of them did not look very professional at all. They were all using pretty generic messages and fonts, with unappealing images. Billboards aren’t free so why bother with them if you’re not at least going to put in the effort to make them pop and look pretty?

As many of you know I took advertising class at MSU and we designed many billboards for various projects we did. We saw many funny billboards that were designed to capture people’s attention, and we’ve seen many generic bland ones, and all the studies showed that the peculiar billboards performed better than the generic ones, is that a surprise?

What was also interesting was that if billboards contained some sort of prop other than the print, it performed up to %35 better. This goes with the saying that in order to succeed in business you have to be different. Just like most advertising, people have built unconscious way to filter them out of our awareness. This Tony Robbins likes to call our RAS which stand for our Reticular Activation System, it points to the part of our brain that brings things into our conscious attention or not. This is often happening on an unconscious level so most are not aware of it.

But as great advertisers we often have to deal with people’s unconscious and begin to crack the code of how to not only get attention but to keep it and implement the company into their subconscious so that it enters their RAS therefore they begin to see it next time they enter a store.

This is the whole idea of building brand awareness and it can make the difference in untold millions of dollars in annual revenue. Why do you think Coca Cola and Pepsi continue to advertise on a massive scale? Because they know that the lifeline of their business is brand awareness or holding attention of the mass, by keeping their logo or brand inside people’s to RAS.

It’s almost as if all the companies are battling to enter people’s RAS, so when these billboards are bland and look like any other thousands of billboards that they have seen in their entire lives, then it gets scanned out and no one ever pays attention to it for even a second.

As advertisers we have to broaden the scope of what it takes to actually produce effects in people because at the end of the day, advertising can be summed up in one word and that’s:

Influence

 

And influence is power, and this power is in regards to the fact that you are not only competing against other advertisers in any given time but you are competing against all of the noise out there of daily lives from family, relation, TV shows, movies, extra circular activities and not to mention the millions of advertising they’ve seen ever since they were young children. Your ad has to out compete against all of those things and snatch the person’s attention for brief few seconds where the message and advertisers’s intent gets accepted in their subconscious. This focus of attention is power because the subconscious becomes accepting of the message at hand. What is the implication of application of this knowledge for all the local businesses out there like the wedding industry.

And that my friends is key to advertising anywhere and certainly on Billboards. Detroit advertisers need to step up their game.

Excellent Wedding Limo Service in Troy Michigan

While we are on the topic of limo companies in Michigan and my fervent search for the “one”, the perfect company for my friends wedding, we talked to many of our friends and one company keeps popping up in our radar, so much so that we made a trip to Troy Michigan to check out what this limousine company was all about.
Their name is simple enough to remember:

What is nice about this company is that they build their own limos, so you can bet that they have some power or some merit to them because most limousine companies we’ve seen mostly run with Lincoln Town Cars and Hummers while this company has very cool, unique limos such as Excalibur, Rolls Royce & Bentley Arnage.

So just on their website alone you can spend few more minutes browsing through their large fleet section.

This built enough desire in us to go check them out. Another nice thing about them is that when you call them the owner of the business will answer the phone and not someone that’s getting paid salary to answer phones and quote based on a price sheet.

This owners feels very friendly and sincere to me, and he promised that he will beat any quote out there and give us much nicer vehicle than the competition. Which is always fantastic to hear, you can tell this company cares about customer acquisition which is good! Especially because I’m in advertising myself and I know that follow up and customer acquisition is the most important aspect of a business. The fact that this company is doing this better than any other limo companies in Michigan that I’ve called so far, tells me this company knows what they are doing, they are experts, and they are most likely doing better than most companies out there so they will have the capital to invest in much better vehicles as shown on their website.

Me and my friend took a visit to Troy to checkout his fleet and we have to say we were very pleased with what we saw. All the vehicles were kept nicely indoors,clean and beautiful. Which is what I originally thought limousines were supposed to look like from the movies. Well lets just say after visiting other warehouses of other limo companies we would find few good limos but there were some in storage which would make us shake our head and question if that limo is fit to serve anybody because it just looked so worn out. Now with this Troy Limo company it was nothing but green light for us. We especially liked the Bentley Arnage Limo, it was very spacious inside and the exterior was very nice with the famous Bentley Grill at the front. We could definitely picture my best friend and her new husband driving away in that thing under sun set, it would make for quite the epic ending to the wedding ceremony which we believe will be held in Cranbrook of Bloomfield Hills, MI.

We will continue with out Limo Company search because we still have few months before we have to make final decision. But so far this company in Troy is pulling on our heart strings! And the one in Bloomfield ain’t too bad either! Trust me when I say that these were the top two after going through few dozens of limo companies out there in Oakland County!

List of things to prepare for a Wedding in Bloomfield Hills & West Bloomfield MI

As me and my friends were brainstorming ideas for my best friend’s wedding and thinking of all the services we require, it became clear that having a really talented event coordinator on your team might be a good thing because there is really so many different services that go into constructing a successful wedding and you need many other organizations to invest their energy and time into it which costs money.

But everyone has a budget, even if my friend comes from pretty affluent background living in nice neighborhood of Oakland County. Still there is a certain budget and to get the best quality service at the best price takes research. But the last thing we want to do is simply finding the least expensive option and getting bad service in return. This is a wedding after all and you can’t risk taking any chances…

So here is a list of wedding services we require and still in the process of making sure we found the right one, in last article I talked about a great limo company that we will use since we have experience with them before but now for the following services we really don’t have much experience…

Food Caterer: I don’t know much about where to go for best catered food for wedding, with a budget I would think a luxurious restaurant would be too expensive, but a pub probably won’t do. I want to find catered food that is excellent in flavor but it has to also have spectacular presentation because it is a wedding. So here is where the challenge sets in for us because we have to balance cost with quality. My friend owns a home made pizza parlor in Lake Orion and they have amazing food but for wedding I’m not sure if their dishes exude enough fanciness.

Banquet Hall Service: Well this is more of picking the right banquet hall to do the wedding, there is several near West Bloomfield MI and they all have decent sizes, but I need one that is willing to cooperate to our specific needs because we want to put up incredible decoration which is still in the works and heavily top secret at the moment. But anyway, from whom I’ve been talking from the Banquet Halls, I found few candidates, its amazing how much difference it makes to speak to personal on the phone and deciding based on their tone of voice. Are they enthusiastic and do they sound like they care?

Wedding Photographer & Possibly Photo Booth: I know for certain that we need a wedding photograph as this was explicitly stated by my best friend but trick is where to find a good one? I’ve looked at various websites and local listing to try to find a great photographer but its hard to see who’s good. Also I’ve been to a wedding last year where they had hired a photo booth rental for it and it was super fun and a big hit, so if budget allows I would love to hire photo booth rental for this wedding as well, again the problem comes with finding a great company. I am still in the process of sorting it out.

Now I’ve listed 3 above, but this is only portion of the entire list we came up with as far as services required for a wedding. So you can imagine the task at hand here. It is like having a side job, albeit a super fun one. Maybe I should become a wedding planner some day. Connecting clients with the best wedding limo service, caterer, & banquet halls complete with the best photographer in town to take professional wedding photos that capture priceless moments for eternity.

I’m all about event planning and getting creative to come up with the best wedding given the allotted budget amount. Let the fun begin!

 

The Best For The Whole Town of West Bloomfield, MI

Me and my friends were planning on my my best friend’s Wedding the other day and it was getting clear that we needed many more things than we originally intended. I mean we planned to car pool to the ceremony but with all the people that are going to be attending it became crystal clear that we needed some sort of limo transportation service.

At first we called up one of my friend who booked with a limo company 2 years back for her wedding but after looking at the google reviews, lets just say that option became less attractive real quick. Next we looked at several other companies in the area but it was difficult to find any site that caught our attention

Then my other friend referred us another limo company that was out of town but we decided to call anyway. This limousine company was based out of Sterling Heights, and they did wedding packages all year round with red carpet. Well Sterling Heights was 1 hour away from West Bloomfield so maybe it was too far for the company we thought, well after speaking to the owner we were so delighted because he told us they just set up a new office in West Bloomfield with new vehicles like Rolls Royce Limos!!! How cool is that!

This company had a wedding package that was very attractive us as it included everything we needed at reasonable rates with even a red carpet service!

After speaking to the owner it became real clear that this was the company to partner up with and I knew deep in my heart that I found the right transportation limo company for my friend, so we decided to book with them right away.

When the wedding ceremony came on 3/6/2015 it was quite a awesome day with the sun shining bright even though Spring was only beginning. My sister looked beautiful and the Tom the husband was looking sharp! I was just cwed9000039Cheery all day because my friend was getting married to a man I knew was perfect for her. The family were over that I knew for over 20 years and it was just such a happy moment we were able to share together at the house while we waited for the limo to show up and pick us up for the ceremony.

Well the Rolls Royce Limo showed up just in time and we were delighted by a real sharp and friendly looking driver. He opened the door for us and rolled out the red carpet. We were really impressed already by how the limo looked and how the driver was treating us from the very first impression.

The ride was spacious and smooth as can be, with great tune that was playing from my friend’s iPod. We were very much pleased and even more fun when there is great champagne in the ride for us. The ride took us roughly 40 min and I must say that was one of the high light of the day because inside a limousine everyone is close by and you get to have real intimate time together with everyone.

We arrived at the Ceremony by 6:00PM and everyone was drinking and having a cheery time together, while the sermon prepared for the tie in the knot.

I was feeling nervous but I imagined how much more nervous my friend must be getting married. It is a very special time for the girl as it is one of the most special moment of the year. And you will get to cherish for the rest of your life. Seeing my friend happy and the fiance with big smiles, really made me a bit jealous of wanting a awesome relationship like that some day in the future.

I guess I am still waiting for the “right one” whatever that means. Well West Bloomfield Wedding organization did the right thing for us because once the ceremony was finished and I dropped a few tears and I saw the most happiest my friend was in years, I decided to get some wine in me to have a bash with rest of my friends. The food was great and the ambiance was perfect. There was photo booths and in the distance, a beautiful limousine where people were taking pictures in front of. I mean when you see a phantom limo, it catches people’s attention.

The celebration was all in all a great success. The catering was fantastic and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of friends and family there to celebrate with me. It will definitely go down in the books as one of the most memorable times spending quality time with my best friend. I can only wish that my wedding will be half way amazing as hers. But all I know is that I now know which catering company to use as well as which limousine company to go for.

I will see through this thing till the end and I am very happy to take part in my friends perfect wedding. Happy that my first blog entry has been such a positive one, my plan is to make 2015 filled with great positive moments like these.
